Johnny Flynn

It’s great because it’s honest. It’s honest because it’s unique and they aren’t trying to hard. They don’t need to try too hard because they know how to play instruments and make folk, country and blues music with an english accent sound unlike anything you are likely to here anywhere else anytime soon. It makes me think of old country-blues ghosts hovering around trying to convince you of something that you come to accept around the 2:02 mark - a relevation about where to look when you walk past sometime you’re trying to avoid. Another song to put in the - finishes at the perfect moment pile. Sometimes I’ll listen to a lot of a bands music to see if there’s something better. I didn’t bother this time - this is pretty perfect. Go Team meets Beirut for those who like ill-concieved modern music allusions.

tuning fork…haha, awsome…i’ll have to check it out, as well as our little go team beirut mash up…that’s a very odd combination, i must say
i say go team. Think harmonica.
johnny is amazing. he used to play violin for emmy and if you’re after some full-on indie points, you can try and find the episode of holby city in which he stars.
it’s a real shame that he’s off around europe for a few months as his is a talent most refined and doused in so many of my favourite artists.
plus, he’s well cute.
