Rory McVicar + Best of October

rory mcvicar

This guy might just sing right into your ear as you walk up to that girl who sits in the same bar you walk past every other Sunday morning. Rory’ll help you out, but he won’t force you to talk to her. He’s just going to spend the average amount of time, talking to you in average tones about an above average girl. It’s average tones he’s singing in but the tones are reflected and refracted all around; especially off the icy floor you’ve slipped on twice already.

It could be that song that cuts in at that part in the film but to some people it’ll sound like level 2 of singer-songwriter 101; level 1 - vocals. Mastered. Level 2 - Originality - essential pre-requisite. Funny how a song sounds so much better after spending a portion of your day sat actually listening to it, trying to imagine how it could sound to other people, and how other people might perceive it. That’s my perception and I hope it doesn’t fit with your perception and that you tell me what this song does to you if anything.
