Maps

Maps hail from Northampton, which is really in the south, which seems to make cartographers and students upset frequently. Lost My Soul is whispered but really loud. Accessing the volume controls sends the maximalist electronic, even higher, across waveforms, peak and troughs, not stopping off in ambiant-ville. The soul is lost, but I don’t really care - the instruments save the song + vocals from drifting away, with me running in the opposite direction as fast as my human legs will take me. I am running wishing this song was written in Japanese, or Basque, at the least. I miss the sun - songs like this aren’t written for sunny days.

Smooth and with perfect timing on a cold Sunday morning.
Northampton? North of Watford, I think you’ll find…
yeh I frequently hear that, but apparently it’s south of Watford Gap service station. Which means something or other.
hmm. odd definition that. anyway, anywhere north of the thames is a bit dodgy….
