Apologies for the absence, updates will now be back to the more frequent 2-3 new bands a week as I’ve graduated, left Sheffield, and now have all the time in the world. (One job would be nice, thanks.)

Since Britain owes a lot to our European Neighbours, there’s going to be an occasional “On The Continent” post to round-up all the best new European music. NBGL will remain dedicated to New British music - now just with occasional added European ingredients.

To celebrate the fact: go and listen to Sigur Ros’ new album at Gorilla vs Bear. And one of my favourite ever albums was by a Spanish band called Grabba Grabba Tape; the duo creating incredible vocodered-mental-disco-punk-daft-bunkem. The sort of thing I’ll really enjoy sharing.
